EPC (Energy Performance Certificate)

EPC stands for Energy Performance Certificate and it demonstrates the dwelling's energy efficiency and CO2 emissions. An EPC is a mandatory requirement for all new build dwellings. An EPC will also contain recommendations on how to improve the property's energy performance . It is a requirement under the latest revision of the Scottish Technical Standards that prior to completion of the house, an EPC is produced by a suitably accredited individual from a recognised approved organisation and submitted to the Scottish Government EPC register . We will undertake this and provide an as-built EPC at the building completion stage. The appropriately certified EPC is also required for any applications submitted to receive any currently available Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) Payments or Feed-in Tariffs (FIT). Such payments are dependent on current and changing Government legislation and the form of low and zero carbon technology fitted within the house so please check.
